MacroTrack AI FAQ

What is MacroTrack AI?

MacroTrack AI is an AI calorie and macro tracker. You type what you ate in plain words, like "8oz grilled chicken and a cup of rice", and it logs the calories, carbs, protein and fat to your daily dashboard. You can also log a meal from a photo in the iOS and Android apps. It runs on iOS, Android, and the web.

How is MacroTrack AI different from MyFitnessPal or Cal AI?

MacroTrack AI is built around describing a meal in a sentence: you write what you ate the way you would tell a friend, and the AI breaks it into foods and amounts and logs them. Nutrition data: USDA data for common staple foods. Everything else is an AI estimate, labelled as an estimate in the chat. Photo logging is also an AI estimate. You can also ask the AI coach about your intake, goals and progress.

How accurate is MacroTrack AI?

Staple foods use fixed USDA values and exact unit conversions, so the same food and amount logs the same numbers every time. Everything else is an AI estimate: it can vary between logs, and it is only as good as the description, so a vague amount like "a chicken breast" is a guess. Photo logging is an AI estimate of what is on the plate. Giving weights or measured amounts, rather than "a bowl", leaves the AI less to guess.

Where does MacroTrack AI's nutrition data come from?

USDA data for common staple foods. Everything else is an AI estimate, labelled as an estimate in the chat.

Can MacroTrack AI log a meal from a photo?

Yes, in the iOS and Android apps. Take a photo of a meal and the AI estimates what is on the plate, with its calories and macros. You can also scan a packaged food's nutrition facts panel in the iOS and Android apps and save it to My Foods. Photo meal logging and nutrition label scan are not available on the web.

Is MacroTrack AI free? How much does it cost?

MacroTrack AI is a paid subscription, and every plan unlocks the full app. No free trial. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page.
